About Me
- Stephanie Marton
- I'm a Yale Junior with a major in the Cognitive Science of Reasoning and Decision Making. I'm from Andover, MA originally, and entered Yale with the strongest interest in philosophy and neurobiology, later leaning toward the economic disciplines within cognitive science, now focusing on game theory and behavioral economics. At Yale I am also involved in extracurriculars promoting Women's Issues on campus, and serve on the board of the Women's Leadership Initiative at Yale. Besides decision making and women's issues, I love to play squash, hike, and irish step dance. I want to introduce the women around me to the types of academic research that has most informed my world view, with the hopes that highlighting academic research will show others how to educate themselves in these topics. The legitimate differences between men and women in their patterns of decision-making behavior are worth incorporating into our thoughts about how and why we make the judgements that we do at work, in the marketplace, and at home.
